Between the Seasons: An Allergist’s Tips for Weathering Pollen on the Plateau by Russell “Rusty” Walker, Immunologist

Dr. Walker will discuss the science fundamentals of all allergies, allergic reactions and their  uprise in our particular region and in all developed countries.

Dr. Walker received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he majored in biology and zoology. Dr. Walker attended the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis and completed his medical degree in 1991. He completed his residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California, where he trained in pediatrics. He completed his asthma, allergy, and immunology training at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. He served for two years as a staff physician, practicing allergy and immunology for Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi prior to joining us in 2000. Dr. Walker is a member of the teaching faculty in the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. He is board certified both by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He has been in practice for more than 20 years and he serves our local area.
