May Day!
In 1908, a group of concerned citizens started the Sewanee Civic Association with the primary purpose of raising funds for municipal improvements not otherwise available to an unincorporated town without taxes. This year, based on the demonstrated needs of local organizations, we set a lofty Community Chest goal. Our 2017-18 drive ends May 1, and we’re currently $31,149 short. Mayday, mayday, mayday. If you’ve never donated to the Community Chest, this is the year to start. If you know someone new to town, please inform them about the Chest and encourage them to give. If you have already donated this year, thank you, and could you do a little more? After May 1, if we haven’t reached our goal, cuts will have to be made. Together we can turn this plea into a May Day celebration. When we hit our goal on May 1, we will be dancing in the streets!
Send your donation to P.O. Box 99, Sewanee, TN 37375 or give through PayPal donate button.
